The Appalachian Trail Conservancy publishes the definitive guides to the entire Appalachian Trail, covering more than 2,100 miles in 11 guidebooks. All guides include detailed trail descriptions and information on road crossings, shelters, water sources, points of interest, and general advice on the region. Each guide also includes separate water-resistant maps for the specific region covered.
The Central Virginia guide covers 225 miles from near Waynesboro to Pearisburg, including parts of the George Washington-Jefferson National Forests. The set includes six, five-color topographic maps on three sheets.
